Much of the old time music is based on fiddle tunes. These lie easily on the mountain dulcimer fretboard and are fun to play. These well-loved tunes come from American & European traditions and provide terrific learning ground for playing both lead & rhythm (back-up) parts. Mostly DAD tuning, with Capos required.
Students should have some experience with the dulcimer and tablature, as well as a nodding acquaintance with chords.
