DJ's topics:

Fretboard Power: Standard DAD Edition, Level, 1 Sat 3
Learning the notes available on your instrument – where they are, what whole & half-steps are, and how scales are devised – gives you So. Much. Power! Working with the (mostly) diatonic standard fretboard in DAD, you'll get the information you need, with resources to refer to as learning tools. More advanced musicians will gain a solid review and be able to apply these principles to chord shapes on the standard dulcimer. DAd tuning, with or without 1+ fret

Learn Your Mountain Dulcimer Chords! 2-hours, Level 2, Sat 4
Mountain Dulcimer fretboards offer terrific visual cues to help you locate the chords you need! In this workshop the notes on the fretboard will be reviewed, scale construction is applied to the fretboard, then fret patterns (chord shapes) that create chords. Both major & minor chord construction will also be applied. Before the end, you’ll also practice a few basic chord progressions. DAd tuning

“Song of the Wandering Aengus”, an Exercise in Fingerpicking, Level 3, Sat 7
No picks needed when you use your fingers to do the plucking! Exercises to gain facility with picking individual strings, a variety of picking patterns, and methods for streamlining the process are introduced. After a bit of practice the techniques are applied to this original tune. DAd tuning
